CS2 and Intel Conroe Core 2 Duo

I'm building a new system using an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM in a Gigabyte M/B. Has any experienced any problems running CS2 with the new Intel Conroe Core 2 Duo processors?

Tks!

Hey Ted
I would love to know the same. Am getting ready to purchase a new computer, upgrade my software to CS2 Photoshop & Illustrator, since I need to buy a PC am wondering whether to buy Intel 4 or D? Does anyone know if we should jump on the wagon and go with the D's? I am not sure if it's suited for graphics, heard it is for gaming and media stuff.

Thanks to all who help advise!
Love and Peace

I expect the parts tomorrow and will start to build this weekend. I've already transferred my CS2 activation & uninstalled CS2 from this computer, so I'm ready to go!

From what I've read, the Intel Core 2 Duo processors are based on the Pentium M (Mobile) processors, but with "beefed-up" L2 cache memory right on the die. The Core 2 Duo is distinct from the Pentium 4's, Pentium D's and Pentium Core Duo's. I'm getting mine from newegg.com so you might want to take a look here to check the specs: (just highlight & paste into your browser)

If we don't hear from anyone else, I'll let y'all know how things work out after I get it together & running.

I'm running a dual core Intel motherboard (in a Dell 380 workstation) and the only problem I've encountered has had to do with the built-in RAID array. PS activation gets flakey when the license files or whatever are on a RAID, so a patch is required from Adobe. Nothing to report with the dual core chip though. Just works.
