am looking to do something similar, but I want the text to change shape. for example I want the text to fit into a semi oval shape. is that something that has to be done in illustrator?

have a picture of a man with a Mexican sombrero that I want to fit text on to. is there any way to do that?

Posting tip:

Starting a paragraph with a lower case (i) will set the text to italic.

You have 30 minutes to edit after making a post.

Alan

You can do what you want using the same technique.

In fact when I originally posted the solution it was for just what you want.

John, I think he actually wants to distort the text into the shape of the hat - I think.

Maybe the Displace filter then?

Alan:
Check out these two tutorials:

In the second link, you don't need to use a Wacom tablet-- just play around with the Brush tool

Cheers!

actually we used a mesh and just bent the text to what we needed. and yeah we were trying to fill a shape, like the heart so that the words seemed to conform to it, not a paragraph within.

thanks anyways guys. :)
