64-bit port of Photoshop and multi-core support

I'm curious if there has been any information released on:
1. A 64-bit port of Photoshop for Windows x64
2. Support for using multiple threads on multiple cores for transformations in Photoshop

For (1), I am talking about a true 64-bit port of Photoshop, which is compiled to x64 code and uses 64-bit data types where appropriate, not just a supported version of 32-bit Photoshop running under WoW on Windows.

Are these coming in Photoshop CS3. I'm not certain, but I don't believe CS2 uses multiple threads for a single transformation, although I'm sure they have multiple threads running for other reasons.

Thanks.

"They" say that CS3 will have more multi-threaded processes. This would be a genuine reason to upgrade the minute CS3 hits the shelves even if they change nothing else about the product.
There is no market for a 64 bit version of Photoshop.
Multithreading the 32 bit version will be a more significant improvement than a native 64 bit version of PS.
Time will tell if there is really a market for a native Mactel version of Photoshop.
There is no market for Windows 64. Windows 64 is the OS2 of current operating systems: a good idea badly implemented with little or no third party support.
The one potential advantage of Windows 64, support for larger memory, is pointless other than in specific server environments. Even then the current (only and last ever) version of Win64 is far too unstable to be used as a mission critical server. It is not clear if there will actually be a 64 bit version of Vista.
