Contact Sheet ll - images selected in Bridge are not available

The Contact Sheet ll image source menu offers 'current open documents', 'folder' and 'selected images from Bridge'. However, although I do have images selected in Bridge, the third option remains greyed out.

I am using CS2 (with no updates) and have updated Bridge to 1.0.4.6.

I note that I am not the first user to encounter this problem but I didn't see any answers.... 8-)

If you select some files in Bridge and then call Contact Sheet from there (in Bridge go to Tools > Photoshop > Contact Sheet II...), then you will see that option as the active, default value. In short, it only comes into play when you choose Contact Sheet II from Bridge.
