This is where Adobe plant part of their malfunctioning "protection" system and something that's left there is confusing the trial version installation. It would be nice if simply uninstalling Photoshop took care of it properly but it seems not.
Windows dosn't use this area and generally speaking, it's open for anything to use. That doesn't mean it's a good idea for Adobe to go ahead and use it...
