Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0 home edition PD4.exe-Application Error

I have been using Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0 home edition on a PC running Microsoft Windows XP Home edition Version 2002 for over 3 years and when I tried to open my Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0 edition I am now receiving the following error message: PD4.exe - Application Error. The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005) Click on OK to terminate the application.

I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it from the original CD however I still receive the same error message when I try to open Adobe PhotoDeluxe. Can anyone help me? I am at my wits end. thanks

This is the Photoshop forum. PhotoDeluxe is several years obsolete and no longer supported.

Most likely, you have some corrupt files on your disk. That could be preferences, plugins, or part of the OS.
