Adobe Gamma utility not working

I am using WIndows XP SP2 and have Adobe CS2. The XP SP2 is a new install while the CS2 is a re-install. When I was using just XP and CS2 all was fine but now my issues that the Gamma utilty does not allow me to adjust midtones when I get to the three colored boxes. I have the Gamma icon in my control panel and the other files appear to be in the proper folders as well. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thx
