I'm very happy with mine. I moved up from a 1280 and was originally thinking of the 1800, but when I saw BW prints from both machines there was no doubt. There wasn't as much of a difference in colour prints, but I do think the 2400 had a slight advantage. If I have a complaint it's the small ink cartridges; I always seem to be replacing something! And compared to the 1280 I love the speed and relative quiet (for an Epson). I took some prints shot on my 20D and printed on the 2400 to a friend who has a mini lab and does a fair amount of work for pro photographers (at least in a small town setting). This is a man who misses no chance to bash digital photography or (especially) ink jet printers. After examining the prints with a loup he said "there's nothing really wrong with these".
