When placing an eps photoshop places a blank window

Suddenly I am unable to place Illustrator eps’s into photoshop. I cannot file/open them either. In both cases I get an empty layer or window. This is also happening when I try to open a Quark or InDesign eps I get an empty window. I have reinstalled Photoshop 7, updated to 7.0.1 and updated all the other photoshop downloads availble for 7.
Any suggestions?

How are you making your EPS files?
Did you save them with a Preview?

Not sure, I wil have to check on that. Should it be with or without preview?

Tried it with made difference. Illustrator Ai files will open and place. It is definitely an eps issue. I do occasionally get eps parser errors. I think this has something to do with it.

If I put them onto my G3 and place in Photoshop 6, they work. But the G4 OS 10.2.8 Photoshop 7 hates them.

First, I would get rid of 10.2.8! It was a horror and destroyed my G4.

Upgrade to Mac OS 10.3.5

Reinstall Photoshop 7 and upgrade to 7.0.1
