Photoshop CS2 Startup 100% CPU

Hi, I posted a while back but unfortunately I was not able to find enough help to solve my problem. More precicely, I thought the problem had disappeared, when in fact it didn't...

Anyway, Photoshop CS2 (Upgrade) takes about 10 minutes to Open every time I
start it. It uses 100% CPU the whole time. It's after the splash screen goes away. It just hangs there for 10 minutes without even refreshing/painting the window at all (everything goes white). After the 10 minutes pass though it works fine. Until I close it and have to

wait all over again next time I start it...

I've tried removing all my non system fonts, disabling font preview, deleting my preferences, uninstalling my old photoshop version, and just about everything I can think of. What I recently realized though is, because I usually keep my computer running I hadn't noticed that a reboot takes care of the problem, for a little while anyway. Once I first boot into Windows I don't have a problem getting Photoshop to work normally, but once I start doing other things for a little while, it will eventually reach the point where Photoshop won't load properly as I described above. This makes me believe it could be a memory issue. My hardware passes any tests I put it under. I've tried increasing and decreasing Photoshop's Memory Usage settings, etc. Just nothing seems to fix the problem!

Anyone, please help!?!?!?

There are known issues with some Logitech mice, ( G7, driver issues, but not all Logitech users seeing this) resulting in slow load times, try another one and see if there is any improvement. (Remove Logitech drivers first.)

Where exactly does Photoshop pause while loading? Read out at the bottom of the splash screen
Did you install any third party plugins (try removing them and their data files)?
Have you tried disabling your anti-virus software?
Did you move any of the Photoshop folder (plugins, presets, etc.)? Did you install a lot of files in the plugins or presets folders? Try removing one of your memory sticks and see what happens, still the same?, do the same with the other one. Could be a RAM issue. So many variables ;)

Just a thought, you have plenty of hard drives, are they all scratch discs? Are they all less than 85% full?
Try switching them all off in Edit>Preferences>Plug ins and Scratch disks, just leaving the startup. Shut down and restart PS and see if there is any difference. Repeat, adding one scratch disk each time.
