CS2: "Runtime Error!" when printing

On a system w/ a 2.8 Ghz P4, WinXP Pro SP2, 1 Gb RAM, printing to Epson 10000 wide format printer, driver version V 5.20, on a local network.

I just upgraded to CS2, and I now have a new issue.

While printing a 40"x40" (250PPI) 8 bit/ch RGB psd from CS2, I get the following error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\photoshop.exe
Abnormal Program Termination

And Photoshop closes.

This happens pretty consistently on larger files (this current file is only 10000x10000 px).

Without rebooting, I can open the same file in CS (NOT CS2), make no changes to the print driver, and the files print fine (as is usual on CS).

Any thoughts why this is occurring? I don't recall that I've ever seen a C++ runtime error from Photoshop before this...

Allen,

I saw your post on the AF and also Chris Cox's reply. You got this info straight from the "horses mouth". Check your PS Welcome screen for Chris's name.
Application crashes in WXPro are invariably due to hardware issues. (driver etc.,)

Thanks for the heads up, Mike. I checked Adobe Forum earlier, but hadn't seen Chris' reply. Will try re-installing the Epson driver. I'll report my findings.
