Does anyone know how to convert a layer style—a drop shadow, let’s say—into its own layer? I’m sure there’s a simple way to do this, but it’s eluding me. Thanks!

Right click on the "f" on the layer, and select "Create Layers".

Jonathan,

When I click on the "f" the layer style dialogue box comes up … where do I find "Create Layers" in the dialogue box ? …

At the moment I am access it via Layer>Layer Style>Create Layers

Control click ("right click") on the "f" on the layer. You will see the list then. "Create Layer" is near the bottom.

It can also be found in the Layer Menu. Layer>Layer Styles.

Charles,

Thank you for the information I didn’t know you could access the list that way. Now that will save me some time 🙂
