After upgrading from CS to CS2 on Windows XP, I noticed the drop down list in the settings section of the color settings window had a lot fewer items (.csf files) than in CS. I determined that the only .csf files listed are those found in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Settings\Recommended folder. I could not find this documented anywhere.
As a matter of fact, the Adobe Knowledgebase Document 331782 states: … Note: Adobe recommends that you save the file in the default location, which is the … Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Color/Settings (Windows) folder.
So I just ended up copying my .csf files into the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Color\Settings\Recommended folder and the drop down now lists them.
