I had a new hard drive installed this week .I wanted to put my elements 2.0 on it but I cant for the life of me find my jewel case or box with the registration/serial number. Is the serial number stored on my old hard drive somewhere that I can look it up? any advice is appreciated!

Maryann,

My PSE S/N is stored in the registry at:

HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Uninstall\Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0

It is in the SERIAL string at that location.

If you can access your old hard drive, and read the registry, you should find your S/N in the same place.

Another workaround is to log on the Adobe site, provided you’ve registered your copy, and you’ll see
all your registered softwares with their serial numbers.

Click on Purchase / Your account.

Ray,

Excellent tip… I looked mine up, just to see, and it also shows the date you registered your software.

I’m almost to have my first Elements anniversary… Jan. 25.

Also I learned a valuable lesson. REGISTER YOUR STUFF RIGHT AWAY! thanks!

Maryann, I hope you didn’t have to pay for it again… ?!?

Byron : that’s one anniversary that has no effect on the body 😉
