I haven't knowingly changed anything to my set up (PC/XP sp2), but when I try to use the photo filter in CS, the presets are now greyed out.
Can anyone help?

Is your file in RGB 8bit? Some filters in CS(1) don't work in other colour spaces and in 16 bit.

I seem to recall that those are 8-bit filters.
Is the image file you're working on the correct mode?

Restarting photoshop seems to have fixed it.
The files are 8 bit RGB with no layers to confuse the issue. A bit mysterious, but with any luck I won't see this again. Thanks for your replies.
