see i did that winzip thing , and went to install "adobe photoshop CS2.msi". when i clicked in it and the problem was in the customer information, it had "username" and the username was automatic "abdulla" coz its my computers nama , "abdulla" was also in the organization. then when went to the option "intall the 30-day trial version" then "next" but it said "the username and serial number fields are required for the setup to continue. please go and make sure that these fields are filled

Masooma. Putting your email address on the forum leaves you wide open for the Spam Spiders to harvest. Furthermore, respondents will post the answer here to that others reading the forum can also benefit.
As far as installing is concerned. Make sure you UNZIP the download to a temporary directory before trying to install it.
More info can be found here:

Hope this helps.

adobe said "Extract the downloaded ZIP file by using a file extraction utility (for example, WinZip). For instructions, see the documentation included with the utility."
where can i find it??or which button?where is the documentation?

If you are on WIndows XP you can unzip by just moving the files from the zip folder into a new, normal folder. If you need to get WinZip, then you can pick it up wherever shareware is distributed ( <
http://www.tucows.com>, for example.)

I ment the documentation , i have winzip already , the problem is that even though i unziped that file of photoshop, the program still wants a serial number!

Make sure you UNZIP the download to a temporary directory before trying to install it.
As noted, be certain to extract the file to a new location. For example, if you right-click on the ZIP icon, you should be given the option to extract. The errors that you report may happen if you are opening the ZIP file by left-double-clicking and trying to run the MSI or EXE from the WinZip window.
Since it is already asking for a serial number, check to make sure that you delete Photoshop setup files and their preferences from your temporary and preference folders. Then run the extracted installer.

u were correct when u said "The errors that you report may happen if you are opening the ZIP file by left-double-clicking and trying to run the MSI or EXE from the WinZip window.", when u said "extract the file to a new location", did u mean the zip file that i downloaded in adobe center? but the file is now defaulted as a winzip file and when i right clicked it the extract was gone
please be very specific `, ur talking to a computer retarded person!
please explain more. I'm really sorry for putting u in so much trouble, I'll read ur post again and see

you.

Double click the Zip file. Winzip will open. Select EXTRACT and tell it where to extract to. From that location double-click the .msi file.
#10
thank u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#11
FYI, I extracted that .msi file to one a drive.

<
http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331612.html> , this site says I have to install the setup.exe file.
well, when i extracted the setup.exe to a drive, it said "error reading setup installation file."
#13
Extract _all_ of the files from the .zip file into a directory on your computer. Then browse to that directory in Explorer, and run setup.exe from that directory.

A recent post in this forum <
http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?128@@.3bbd1475> and in other forums revealed how ImageReady was still functional after the 30 day trial. I just noticed that the Photoshop CS2 trial on Adobe's FTP site was recently updated (11/04/2005) so everything that has been mentioned previously may be irrelevant.
There may be new issues/bugs with the new trial software that none of us have experience with. This may be why Masooma is still having problems with our advice.
Navigate to here to see other download options:

That being the case, I would have thought Abobe's efforts would have been better put toward a much needed dot release of the full version rather than the 30-day trial!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! Its installing right now!

Masooma: Share. Did you redownload from that other link?
