Hi,

I have an image where the text is placed in the background. I need to get rid of this text. So I am using clone tool to erase the text. But when I do that, the final image is having some spots in the background. Is there a way to remove those spots? Can I just paint the whole background with some color?

Thanks,
Sridhar.

use a soft edged brush and watch the crosshair that appears after you select a clone area. You may be picking up areas of the background you do not want to clone and accidently transferring them when you clone…you may also want to try the Patch tool for this operation (under the "band aid" icon…click and hold and select the quilt looking icon)

Yes. Selectively with the Paint Brush (Alt+Click to pick up the colour you require) or Select All (Ctrl+A) and fill.

Pick your background colour, make the layer active and click Control + Backspace.
