How do I remove the listing of an old unused scanner from the list of scanners on my version of PS8 on Win XP? Thanks in advance, Cliff Moore.

You can do that by deleting or uninstalking the associated TWAIN driver. Rob

Try this:
Go to Control Panel, Software, and UNinstall your old scanner. If it's not there, Right click My Computer, select Properties, then Device Manager. Now find your old scanner driver and UNinstall it there.
Reboot, relaunch PS, and please let us know if it worked.
