After upgrading to ImageReady CS all my color animations save as a black and white bitmapped gifs.

By the way, this also happens when I save for web in photoshop and save as a gif.

Check your settings in the Optimize palette/Color Table/Reduction. You probably have Grayscale selected there instead of Adaptive.
