I am a new Mac user and I am trying to find a convienent way to deal with large numbers of multi-page .tiff files. I need to be able to scan, edit, and save them efficiently. I can view them in Apple Preview, but I have no way to scan them. I have been told that Photoshop CS can do this. I have looked all through the help files and the internet. Does anyone know if this can be done, and if so, how? I would REALLY appreciate any help anyone could give me.

You can easily create multipage TIFFs with the command line tools in libtiff <http://www.libtiff.org/> (specifically tiffcp <http://www.libtiff.org/man/tiffcp.1.html>).

Tiff-Sight <http://www.blueglobe.com/tiffsight.html> is a good program for viewing and printing them, but if they are 1-bit deep, my program TIFF Viewer <http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/#tiffviewer> is much faster than Preview (but doesn’t yet print).
