When copying a piece of text from a word document, with the word document in two columns and including soft returns (shift-enters: manual line breaks) and pasting it in a photoshop text column, photoshop 'unexpectedly quits' seemingly every time.
When i take out the soft enters it seems to be fine.

It seems that Adobe's new text engine may no longer accept Soft Returns.
Try doing a "search and replace" on the text in another program before trying to paste the text into a CS application.

hmm. Today, there is no problem at all, neither with word x nor with word 2004, no idea why it crashed the other day.
crashing was solved then the moment I took out the soft returns.
