Signs in upper left corner of any image

There's a sign composed of a "01" and something that looks like a small diagram in the upper left corner on all images I open in PS 7.0. These signs wasn't there before so I guess I must have done something. Not a big problem, but how do I get rid of it? And BTW, what's the use of those signs anyway? Thanks.
