Hi everyone. I’ve always missed having toolbar buttons for many commands (like in most other Windows programs), and the ability to customize toolbars, in Adobe programs.

I used to love Extensis PhotoTools, which pretty much did what I’m describing. Haven’t been able to find a similar plugin since they stopped making PhotoTools.

So, is there a way within PS(CS2)to create toolbars with icon-buttons, and assign commands to them?

Or, does anyone know of a good plugin to do so?

Thanks very much!

There’s a big discussion about the situation at the link below:

BNich,

For PS CS2, you have no "good" options but I’ve found the use of Macro Toolbar (http://www.pitrinec.com) at least a tolerable option. It lacks the elegance in use of PhotoBars and appears to only be usable in accessing those menu commands that are mapped to keyboard shortcuts, but that is better than nothing. Normally I just stick with PS CS and use my PhotoBars there, but the new roll-up desktop of PS CS2 and being able to drag an image window to a secondary destkop is growing on me. For more info, I’ll just defer to my website, where I discuss this a bit further. <http://jazzdiver.com/photoshop>
