Hi ‘yall. I tried doing a search but couldn’t locate anything.

I’m running PS CS2, and recently the help panel randomly pops up. I tried to check if it was occuring during a specific event, but it doesn’t seem to be. It even pops up when doing batch processes.

It hasn’t done it before, and it just started doing this recently. I haven’t made any recent changes to my workstation.

I’m at a loss, and it’s very annoying. Any assistance is most welcome.

Thanks

Gregory

It generally happens under heavy load/low RAM (and often when you open the Styles dialog box – which presumably requires a lot of resources itself). Some people suggest switching your primary browser (e.g., Firefox), which I have done, but it doesn’t seem to help. Other than that, I’ve never seen/heard of a resolution to the issue, but try freeing up resources by closing other applications, etc. For what it’s worth it happens much less frequently with CS2 (and the new help system) than with previous releases (has only happened once to me so far).

Oh, okay… That explains it. They did happen when I was processing a large job. Thanks! I’ll look into getting more RAM.
