Target channel is hidden?

Hi all! I've created a basic image... with only 5 layers. No masks or anything. But now when I try to move an item on one layer, I keep getting the following message: "Could no use the move tool because the target channel is hidden." What gives? What does this mean and how can I get my one thing to move? Thanks so much.

Click on the "Composite" channel (RGB or CMYK) and see if it now works.
