I apologize if this is a redundant question; I have searched for help and haven’t seen anything.

My G5/10.3.4 completely freezes when I try to open Photoshop CS — when the opening routine gets to "Building color conversion tables…." the system completely freezes up. Worked fine until this week. I have repaired permissions, dumped preference files, reinstalled PSCS. Still does the exact same thing.

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

When you trashed your prefs., did that include Adobe Photoshop CS Settings/Color Settings.csf?

And did you also trash "com.adobe.Photoshop.plist" ?

Also run Cocktail, if you haven’t already done so, and change your time zone then change it back again.
If you are in the UK, choose your nearest city and not "GMT".

A full system freeze isn’t good.

That usually means a bad OS install, bad RAM, etc.
