Crash when the quick start guide finishes loading

I did a clean install of Elements 2.0 on a system that used to run it. Now when the Quick Start page finishes loading, the program quits. I reset the preferences and it still crashes. Any suggestions. I do not have more that 30 fonts on the computer and again all of the program loads. Elements used to run and I have no idea when it quit running.
