Photoshop CS 2 upgrade from Photoshop CS
I have just upgraded to P/shop CS2. Accents for true type fonts only (open type & Adobe work fine) no longer work. The TT fonts work perfectly in CS1 and in WORD, but not in CS2. Has anyone a solution to this one?
Thank you

Works here. You are sure that you tried the very same font? Dues all the fonts have the problem?
Do you have a special feature activated in the character palette's option menu? Have you tried Reset Character?

It is very bizarre - certain TT fonts where the name is in CAPITALS. All of these cannot cope with accents in Photoshop CS2 only...in Powerpoint, CS1, WORD etc, they ALL work. TT fonts written such as Garamond work ok in CS2. Haettenschweiler works fine; HELTERSKELTER does not! PosterBodoni BT works fine;PRETEXT does not....these fonts all came with the new install (I think) since I do not have this on another PC with CS1 on it.
I have tried Reset Character.
I followed the standard upgrade install and have no customised text setting that I am aware of.

Strange, no font here is listed in all caps.

Very odd. I will shortly be upgrading my creative suite on another PC...will have to see if the same thing occurs there....

Just an idea. Accents on all caps characters sometimes appear outside the bounding box for the character. If you rasterize the type, do they appear? Or when you print the page?

Maybe a misunderstanding....when used in photoshop the letters appear as intended (except for accented characters which are replaced by a '?'). What I meant is that in the drop down list of fonts, the oddly behaving TT fonts are listed in capital letters.
