Does Photoshop CS 2 not work with a AMD CPU?

I have not been able to start PSHP CS 2 since I installed it twice,

does the fact that Adobe NOT list AMD in its minimun requirements mean it will not work with an Athlon 64 CPU???:
I have well more than the minimum RAm and hard disk space, etc....

"Unable to initialize Photoshop because of a program error."

Photoshop may not run correctly if the system doesn't meet the following requirements:

"Photoshop CS2 (purchased as a stand-alone product):

-- Intel Xeon, Xeon Dual, Centrino, Pentium class III or 4 processor

-- Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or 2, or Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4

-- 320 MB of RAM (384 MB recommended) *

-- 650 MB of available hard-disk space

-- 1024 x 768 monitor resolution with 16-bit video card

-- CD-ROM drive

-- Internet or phone connection required for product activation

Working fine here on an AMD Athlon 64 3700+, MSI K8N Plat mo/bo, 2GB RAM, GeForce 6800, XP Pro SP2...

It runs flawlessly on my AMD processor, and for thousands of other users of Athlon 64...

It runs on my AMD Athlon 64 3800+ with 2 GB, on a MSI motherboard. No problems that I can see.

ADM Athlon 2800+, 1GB Ram, WinXP.SP2, works fine.
