I am experiencing some wierd behaviours that seem to have something to do with fonts or text layers. My files use TT fonts. It seemed to gradually get worse over time. Now I am getting this message when I open any PSD file…
"Could not complete your request because the layer is not a valid text layer"
Followed by "Could not complete your request because of a program error."
Now, when I open a new blank doc, I can not use the text tool. I get the program error every time. PhotoShop is essentialy useless.
I have tried reinstalling Photoshop, reseting preferences, adjusting RAM and scratch disk settings as well as reinstalling fonts.
I’m using CS, WinXP with 800Mb RAM.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
