I’m trying to draw a circle on my image, but all I can seem to do here is make a solid filled circle. It just seems to me that I must be missing something really simple here.

How to I draw a circle that’s not filled in?

Joel,

Use the elliptical marquee tool to create the circle you want (hold shift while drawing to constrain it to a perfect circle).

Then, on the menu, Edit-Stroke.

Set the various options as you wish.

Joel,

Use the oval "selection tool" and hold the shift key to maintain a perfect circle.

Once that is done go to Edit / Stroke / and enter in line thickness and select color.

Hiya, Pete…

It’s always good to have validation!

Joel,
You can also access the shape selection tools, and with the ellipse tool make a circle. The advantage of this is that the circle will be on its own layer, and one can then adjust the opacity with the slider, etc.
