Brush preset pop-up palette grew too big

We have a problem with the thing called the "Brush preset palette" or Brush pop-up palette" (depending on which Photoshop Help resource you look at.) We've added a mess of brush sets to our presets to evaluate them (... if only there were a better way to manage brush sets in Photoshop...) and enlarged the palette to see all of them as small thumbnails. When we fired up Photoshop 7 tonight the palette had resized itself so the resize widget is down below the bottom of the TiBook's screen. Dragging the widget down below the bottom of the screen is not something we could have done ourselves.

This is one of the few things I wish we had from Windoze - the ability to resize a window (or palette) by grabbing its frame in some way.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to reach the Brush pop-up palette's resize widget without discarding all our Photoshop preferences? The TiBook is already at its maximum resolution, so we can't increase it and see the bottom of the palette.

Use the Presets Manager and get rid of enough individual brushes that will allow the menu's bottom limit to rise above the bottom of your screen?

Just a guess, really. Never actually had the problem.

remove it from the well and push the green button in the left corner

There is; it's the Preeset Manager. You can make a set of only the brushes you want to test and load it at will.
