I’m installing Colorvision’s Spyder 2 software and it requires me to disable Adobe Gamma. I can certainly delete it, but what if I want it back later? How do I "delete" it?

Thanks

You only need to delete it from the Windows Startup. Colorvision will install their loader in Startup so it will load, and having Gamma in there will cause difficulties. Should you ever have need of Gamma, it will still be available in Windows control panel.

It is Adobe Gamma Loader that you need to disable. You disable it in the list of things to load at startup.

If you have XP, you can remove it in
the thing that comes up when up push
control-alt-delete. That used to reboot
the system but now gives you a control
thingy, in XP. Find Gamma under ‘processes’
and click ‘end process’. You can also disable
it by going to the command prompt and
typing msconfig and under startup items
uncheck it, but it’s probably easier to
remove it from the startup folder as was
suggested…
: -) good luck
