CS2 Printer set up?

With CS my Epson 2200 set at:
Doc: Adobe RGB (1998), Proof: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2, Profile: SP2200 Premium Semi Gloss 2880 icc, Intent: Perceptual (with use black point checked) produced a perfect print.

In CS2 these settings give me muck. Help...what new settings deliver

What paper are you printing on? You'll need the 2200 profile for that paper, if you were getting good results before it was just luck.

The Document should be set to whatever color space you use, most of us keep our photos in Adobe RBB (1998).

The Profile is where you put your paper profile for the 2200, don't worry about the proof for now.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I use the paper profile.

CS2 is different. The first option is to use PhotoShop for color or the Printer settings for color. Let's start with this.

Previous version did not have this option.

Yes it did. In CS, you selected the "print space" from a drop-down list. The first item was "Printer Color Management" -- which corresponds to the "Let Printer Determine Colors" setting for color management in CS2. After that first item were a slew of profiles, which were used to have CS do the color management, just like the list in CS2 that you pick from if you select "Let Photoshop Determine Colors" for color management. In both cases, the list of profiles includes all of the profiles in your %Windir%\System32\Spool\Drivers\Color directory, not just those that are appropriate for printer color management (e.g., proofing profiles, monitor profiles, scanner profiles).
