CS2 slow to open first jpeg file

Hello,
I installed CS2 and find that the first jpeg file I open with CS2 is taking about 50 seconds to open.
Once the first file is open all other jpeg files will take a few seconds to open.

Imageready doesnot exhibit this kind of behavior. This is very starnge since I donot see this with Photoshop CS.

It doesnot matter how big is the file from 100KB to 6MB.

The machine is XP 2600+ with 1.5 GB of memory. The harddisk is 120GB 7200 RPM RAID disk array.

Any help is appreciated.

I bet it happens with any file type, and the first one to open is slow.

And I'll bet you have your default printer set to something that takes a while to time out...
