Brightness/Contrast toolbar missing in PS7

When i go to use edit the brightness/contrast in ps7, nothing appears. It is like it is invisible, because I can not do anything else. So i press enter, as if pressing ok after i "would be editing" and then i can use the rest of ps7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, did a system restore on pc-basically EVERYTHING. Ths began when i was using two monitors for more work space, but one of the monitors decided to die on me (a good monitor too might i add)- so I am back to one monitor, and i feel like ps7 is acting like its still two monitors and the B/C toolbar is still on the other screen that doesn't exist anymore. if you can't get at it by upping your desktop res, you'll either have to hook a 2nd monitor back up temporarally or reset the prefrences (also in the FAQ).
