web 2.0 button tutorial

You need to select the rounded square using the marquee tool with a high level of precision. Try different arrangements, marching ants on the line exactly, not on the line exactly, etc. and you will eventually get it the right way.

There may be several different ways of achieving your objective. If you’re stuck, by all means ask for help but if you want to learn the program (why else would you do these tutorials?) try to get unstuck, by yourself, first. Also consider that the people that are writing your tutorials might be Photoshop geniuses but they can’t string a sentence together or might not be writing in their native tongue. Furthermore the people in this newsgroup who would help you out in a heartbeat will get frustrated in a hurry if they think they’re working harder on a solution for your problem than you are. -S

I don’t get it… I was working on it, figured it out, and posted the solution for other people who might have wanted to know as opposed to not working on the solution or working on the solution, figured it out, and not let anyone know that I solved it. So what did I do wrong?
