Trouble stroking a path

If you delete the path after stroking it, the stroke looks correct.

If it doesn’t, you could try resetting your brushes in the Brushes Palette.

I have followed the directions and tried it many times but always the same result. I create the line, select it with the path selection tool then I select the paint brush, adjust the width of the brush and choose stroke path.

I would greatly appreciate a solution to this problem

sounds like you’ve got the brush spacing turned off…try turning it on and adjusting it to get the effect you want. if you want a solid line start at 1%. also covered in the manual and help.
