Lens Blur Question

Upgraded from PS7 to CS2 so a lot of things are new for me. Is there a way to use lens blur other than the full image to speed up previews?

CS2 seems quick enough at other tasks. Bridge is really cool. It got promoted to the Start menu

You could try masking off a critical area and then applying the blur to just that bit to see the effect
