Opened ai file shows text

Hi everyone.

When I try to open an ai (cs3) file in photoshop cs3 I have only text in the
opened file.
I tried with all the previews options.

Somebody knows why?

..ai is the Illustrator native format. It's a vector file. Photoshop is a raster/pixel based program. Save/export the .ai as a raster image like a ..jpg.
