After downloading the CS2 tryout, i extracted the files and clicked on the setup.exe file. However, 5 - 6 error windows popped up. Does anyone know why, or is there anyway i can fix this?

Most likely it's a bad download.
And nobody is going to be able to figure out more without knowing what the error messages said!
#2
oh yeah..
the error windows say -
#1 .\Autoplay\main.ini
#2 MAIN_FILE_VERSION
#3 PRODUCT_REGISTRY_PARENT
#4 PRODUCT_REGISTRY_KEY
thats it..
btw. should i uninstall photoshop 7 before installing CS2?

No.
Try a fresh download.
#4
tried redownloading it, still doesn't work.
#5
What version of Windows are you using?
Bob

Error dialogs should say more than that...
But some of those are registry keys - which could mean you have a corrupt registry or a permissions problem.

running windows XP.

I got the same errors when I double clicked the zip file and tried to run setup.exe from inside the zip file. Once I dragged the folder onto my desktop, I was able to install with no problems.
(You might need to extract the zip file)

Had exact same problem with the install. Files have to be unzipped -thi is confusing because none of the other CS2 program installs are zipped
