I have a number of pictures that suffer from parallax problems. Is there any feature in Photoshop that allows me to correct the parallax?
(By parallax, I mean the phenomenon where, in taking a picture of a building for example, the parallel sides of the building are not parallel but clearly convergining. In bellows lenses there is a parallax correction feature.)
Thanks,
Zach Allen

Sure. Use Edit>Transform>Perspective.

Or maybe Edit > Free Transform too?

When taking voltage measurements always observe parallax. Frank

That's not paralax, it's perspective. Paralax is a difference in viewpoint. Point-and-shoot and compact zoom cameras suffer from paralax because the viewfinder does not see what the lens sees. The closer theobect, the more pronounced the paralax.

Thank you Michael. That was exactly what I was looking for. Strange, the word parallax is not found at all in the help files. I would not have thought of Transform, but it does the job.
Many thanks.

Scott explained that its not the word Parallax you should be searching for. Parallax cant be corrected in software..

But if you lack that knowledge, and lack the ability to listen to others, then you have a "pair a lacks" <g>
Zach: Check out Panotools

The LensCorrection tool in CS2 would also work quite well...
