Hi everyone...I have just spent the past two day scanning 300 photos that I want to use, my problem is that I saved them in TIFF but now find that I require them to be in either JPEG or Bitmap..can anyone tell me is the a way to do a multiple file change other than a one by one exercise??...fingers X'ed.
Thankyou to any suggestions offered.

Ifranview has a batch convert and will let you have the originals in one folder and place the converted ones in another.
And no, you did NOT make a mistake! NOW you can fine tune the trade off YOU need between file size in bytes vrs quality of image.
You did the right thing in saving as TIFF.

I did the same thing as The Oz and I think that Colin Walls answer is probably what I need to do. Problem is that I didn't understand exactly what it is I should do. Could you be a bit more specific?

read the manual and learn how to use actions and batch automate, you'll love how much power it gives you.
Basically you can automatically open each image in photoshop and save it to jpg with a certain compression ration, you could even resize them to be a certain size and paste your logo onto all 300 photos, all with the click of a button.
make sure you practice on some dummy files first, dont want to lose your good ones. Learn it, its worth the time it will save you later.
PS. IMHO ACDSee if much better than irfan view, but its shareware not free like irfan view.

Jacob,
I too use ACDSee, but Mac, someone whom I respect, and a regular forum contributor recommends IrfanView, so it carries a lot of weight with me.
One thing ACDSee will NOT do is convert, as this poster was requesting - that's the reason I mentioned it.
