Occasionally while adding text to a JPG image, when I am typing the text and hit
the *ENTER* key the cursor seems to move down two or three lines so that there is a very
wide space between each line. I’m using an image with 150 dpi and only a 12 pt.
type size. This doesn’t happen all the time so I can’t figure out the variables
involved. I am using PS7.

You need to check out the Character and Paragraph palettes. When in type mode(T) You’ll see a little icon that looks like a small clipboard in the toolbar (right)
Select all your text and adjust the leading.
If it’s not this, try holding shift and pressing enter..you never know!

THANK YOU.

It was driving me crazy.

I set the leading to "AUTO" and now it works fine.
