I have some pics that have the camera’s date and timestamp on them (in red in the lower right hand corner). What is the best way to remove these letters/numbers and fade them into the picture?

Currently, I used the Magic Wand Tool to select each letter and painted a single color inside each letter. This produces so-so results.

Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks!

I probably run across this three or four times a day. Without a doubt, the easiest way in Elements would be to use the stamp brush (clone tool) with a medium edged brush. If the brush is too hard it will leave abrupt edges on the worked over areas and if it is too soft it will remove the texture from the area making it look blurry.
