Anybody know how to make an opaque inner bevel?

Every dropdown, field and slider I can find is set to 100% opacity and I still get a translucent inner bevel. I'd be most grateful if someone could post the step-by-step of how to do this in PS8, starting with a photo in 16-bits-per-channel mode.

Can you crop a small portion of your image with the uncooperative bevel and email it to me as a layered PSD file? I'd like to see if I can figure it out "hands on." Did you ever check the blending options of the other layers?

Peadge :-)

There is one layer visible and its blending options are "normal." I'll try to crop out most of the 90MB .psd and email it to you. Is ..zip format OK?
Meantime, can you post the step-by-step procedure for creating an opaque bevel?

The cropped .psd compresses to a 7MB zip file. The .psd is also converted to 8-bit mode. Is that size acceptable via email? Does your ISP have a problem with .zip attachments?

My email is ellisisle ... sti ... net. (Please insert the usual delimiters for this spam-avoidance version.) To what email address should I send the file?
