I ste up an action to batch process cropping photos.
At the end, the jpeg options box appears and I have to click OK to complete it.
Is there a way to get the photos to close automatically? I didn't stop the action untill after these steps were
done, but jpeg options stillcomes up.

I would guess that you can edit an action and
add the menu item for close with the option to
save, no?

Even after choosing the save command, the jpeg options box appears and I have to click ok for the image to close.
I kind of new to this, so thought I might have some setting that's not automatically closing the image.

What version PS?

Did you do a save or a save as in your action that included the jpeg options dialog?

I've got CS and just used save, after clicking save that jpeg options box appears, I have to click ok before the image will close.

as far as I know, any time you save to a jpg from a different original format,
photoshop asks you to choose the jpg quality. (i.e. changing psd, tiff, etc to jpg)

however, if you start with a jpg and use 'save' and 'close' rather than 'save as',
it should not be asking you for the "1 to 12" selection that you mention.

you might also try removing (unchecking) the 'save' step in your action, and use the 'save and close' settings in the batch options.
