well - just as I said - if you apply it to an image all pixels of pure white will become transparent a all pixels with just a certain amount of white will become accordingly semitranparent (its like you were using an inverted black&white copy of your original image as a layer mask) the images properties are not changed, so if you apply it to an image and safe it as, e.g., jpg it will look as if nothing happened. I use it to either get red of the white background in b/w lineart (to place it over a new background) or to create blending layers for collages

Sounds interesting. What does it do exactly, please... ? I thought only gif had transparency as a property.
