Photoshop crashes when "save as web" selected

Platform-Mac 9.2/photoshop 7
Everytime I save a file under the "save as web" command, it gets as far as the naming convention and then crashes. Any suggestions on what to do?...(other than just save it as a jpg under save.....) Thx in advance

Available memory and hard drive space? How much memory allocated to Photoshop? How large an image is this? Is this one specific file? Did you trash the Photoshop preferences and relaunch the application?
