CRC errors reading JPEG file

I hope someone out there can help with this!
I copied files from my camera memory card to CD. I failed to verify EVERY file after the copy and two files dropped bits. They will not open or copy and I get an error saying CRC error in the file. (Of course they are the best photos of the bunch!)

Has anyone found any software that will attempt to resolve CRC errors in a jpeg file? I have searched the web and found many programs that will try to recover lost files from the memory cards. But this is different. I have the complete file, but the data in the file has problems.

Try IrfanView.
If it can’t open it, I know of nothing better.

Try badcop pro , <http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/> , just got it myself to recover some files.

Although nothing may be able to open it, as it is corrupt.

Wouldn’t it be better to copy the files from your card to your hard disk then copy from the hard disk to a CD?

(I’m a carryover from the DOS days. You copied first, then deleted. CYOA)

Thanks to all for the suggested recovery programs.

I tried them, BUT no luck. Evidently these programs are meant to recover deleted files and files from formatted media. I have the files, but they contain CRC errors and cannot be read by normal programs.

I guess I will be more vigilant with my file copies from now on.
